Beautifully crafted, “Artecasa” sideboard in solid Kiaat. The Artecasa factory was established by the Italian Maraschino brothers in Johannesburg and produced some of the best local cabinetry during the Mid-Century period.
The sideboard with big proportions has two top drawers, two large symmetrical cabinets on either side with height adjustable shelving, and a central drop-down drinks cabinet. Ample storage space provided!
The wood has been fully refurbished and the item is in superb restored condition. (Note that all the doors are lockable, except the door on the right-hand side. We could not find a "drop-in" lock with a strike that fitted the already made slot, so we ensured it will close without swinging open and filled the lock slot.
