Two Prints - Available Separately
Two striking framed abstract prints by Lebadang (Vietnam). Both works showcase Lebadang’s signature interplay of rich, moody tones with bursts of luminous color, evoking a sense of movement and dreamlike atmosphere. Housed in simple wooden frames, the prints highlight his distinctive blending of abstraction with figurative hints — suggestive of landscapes, sails, or natural forms dissolving into painterly light.
Background: Lebadang (1921–2015) was a Vietnamese-born French painter, printmaker, and sculptor. After studying at the École des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse, France, he developed an international career renowned for his innovative use of mixed media and lithography. His art often balanced between East and West — weaving influences from Vietnamese heritage with European modernist abstraction. Lebadang gained particular recognition for his work in “Lebadangraphy”, a printmaking technique he pioneered in the 1970s, which layered textures and colors to create depth and tactile visual experiences. Today, he is celebrated as one of Vietnam’s most significant 20th-century artists.
