A 1950's extendable table with a Formica top dated July 1956. A perfectly sized table to use in a smaller dining space, kitchen, or patio. Seats four easily and once extended by sliding the leaves out it can seat six people (but also dependent on the size of your chairs). A typical period piece with stunning beechwood legs and base.

The set of 6 chairs in some photos are sold here and the set of 4 chairs also in some photos are sold separately here

The wood has been restored and sealed and the table is in great vintage condition.

Dimensions:

159cm L X75cm H X 69cm W (Extended)

89cm L X 75cm H X 69cm W (Closed)

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
