Very rare 1960s Danish Mid-Century modern bar cart showcasing the design of Niels Erik Glasdam Jensen. Featuring a unique teak construction, the cabinet halves slide open to reveal bar storage with an interior glass drink shelf and new sliding dividers enabling storage for bottles, glasses, and barware. The top surface is a black Formica-like laminate, the perfect surface for serving or mixing drinks.
In very good restored condition. The top has some light scratches consistent with age and use and the original painted white base has some wear, but we ensured we kept this piece as original as possible.
The slightly protruding handles are easy to see while maintaining the magnificent design and the round castors enable it to roll smoothly. A perfect complementary piece.
The wood has been restored and sealed. The bar cart came without the inner sliders and we opted for black sliders and had them cut to size. A new 6mm glass inner shelf was cut and fitted.

Take note of all photos or view the item in-store prior to purchasing.
As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
