This beautiful, slender & long Mid-Century Sapele Mahogany coffee table was designed by John Tabraham, one of South Africa's most accomplished Mid-Century designers. He designed for both Kallenbach and DS Vorster with the designs for the latter mostly featuring rounded legs. This collaboration with high-end producer D.S Vorster features refined details yet simplistic design that will stay relevant through many centuries.

The wood has been restored and sealed and this item is in superb condition.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
