A unique & fully restored MCM Teak cabinet with newly added solid black steel hairpin legs. A versatile, four-doored cabinet that offers substantial storage. The three shelves in the top cabinet and two shelves in the bottom make it suitable for various uses, such as a lined cabinet, drinks cabinet, or even a kitchen cabinet or bedroom storage.

At first glance, the design elements suggest the style of Nathan Furniture or G-Plan, however, the absence of hardware and pulls suggests otherwise and research indicates a more Danish aesthetic much like some of the designs from Rud Rasmussen who collaborated with leading Dahish designers in Copenhagen. Unfortunately, the maker's mark is no longer intact as with many pieces from this era.

This cabinet's multifunctional appeal ensures it can fit seamlessly into different spaces in your home, providing both practicality and a timeless aesthetic.

The wood has been carefully restored and resealed and the base has been removed and replaced with new hairpin legs (note the original base will be handed to you on purchase). We also needed to fit new escutcheons as they were no longer intact.

In good restored condition.

92cm W X 36cm D X 168.5cm H.

Note/Disclaimer:

Our images form part of the item/s description. Although all efforts have been made to refurbish our furniture to represent its original state best, it must be noted that most of the items we source date from the 1950s to the late 1970s. For this reason and although restored, signs of their vintage condition & age might still be visible. We will typically point out any visible/notable concerns. Take note of all photos or view the item in-store prior to purchasing.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness. The quality of the veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
