A beautifully proportioned Mid-Century single bed in solid Sapele Mahogany, combining timeless craftsmanship with sculptural simplicity. The design features a slightly elevated headrest and a lower footrest, creating a refined architectural profile that evokes the work of DS Vorster or Kallenbach.
Elegant, functional, and unmistakably modernist.
The frame has been fully restored and sealed, highlighting the rich depth and ribbon grain of the mahogany. Each bed retains its original steel spring base. The result is a piece that blends durability with character, perfectly suited to contemporary interiors.
Whether used as a pair in a twin room, a stylish addition to an Airbnb or holiday home, or re-imagined as a standalone daybed in a living area or reading nook, this versatile design offers both comfort and aesthetic presence. Minimal and timeless.
