An expertly restored mid-century sewing caddy that doubles as a sculptural accent piece. Crafted from richly figured wood - likely a highly figured Maple & Walnut - the cabinet showcases a mesmerizing grain pattern with a deep golden tone and satin finish that glows warmly in natural light.

The caddy stands confidently on splayed, tapered legs, giving it a playful yet poised presence typical of 1950s–60s Scandinavian and European design. The solid handle and clean lines further emphasize its functional aesthetic.

This cleverly engineered caddy features four flip-open lids: two smaller lids on either end reveal sets of three compartment trays, perfect for storing sewing orcraft tools. The two larger middle lids open to a generous central compartment, ideal for bulkier supplies or items you want tucked away but easily accessible.

Likely made in Europe in the mid-20th century, sewing caddies like this were designed as both practical storage and movable craft stations. This one elevates the tradition with its exquisite woodwork and minimalist silhouette. Fully restored and sealed, it's in excellent condition with all compartments working smoothly.

Whether used for its original purpose or repurposed as a stylish organizer or side table, this piece is both functional and timeless.

Note/Disclaimer:

Our images form part of the item/s description. Although every effort is made to refurbish our furniture to represent its original state best, it must be noted that most of the items we source date from the 1950s to the late 1970s. For this reason, and although restored, signs of their vintage condition & age might still be visible. We will normally point out any visible/notable concerns. Take note of all photos or view the item in-store prior to purchasing.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
