A very elegant & unique Mid-Century tambour-door sideboard/cabinet. The uniqueness is in the simplicity of the design. The cabinet provides good storage space, and it has steel copper-coated legs running along the sides of the cabinet with the bottom support steel beam re-painted in black.
The two tambour cabinet doors slide open and closed with the sunken handles on the doors. The height of this cabinet is perfect making it great to also use as a media unit/TV stand. This piece is versatile and sure to complement most interior styles!
It's not a large unit, but a great usable size with beautiful features.
The wood has been restored and the cabinet is in overall great condition considering the condition we received it in. A few signs of its vintage condition are still visible, however, this is in line with age and use and we have restored & refinished this piece to the best of our ability. No keys/lock.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness The quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.

Shipment outside Gauteng is not calculated at check-out. When purchasing an item and you are based in either Cape Town, Durban, or outside Gauteng, SELECT LOCAL PICK-UP at check-out (DO NOT SELECT A SHIPMENT OPTION). Delivery to these areas is quoted based on the dimensions of the item/s bought. We can unfortunately not reserve any items until such a time that transport or shipping has been finalized.
