Superb sideboard & gorgeous design lines in this rare Imbuia mid-century sideboard. Notice the outer leg base design highlighting the level of craftsmanship that is evident throughout this piece. The tiered design highlights the floating-like top and framed cabinetry.
The two outer cabinets reveal 'shelved' storage space inside while the six center drawers provide sufficient storage space and include one cutlery drawer. The magnificent design of the sideboard gives it a floating illusion.
Great wood grain and tone to compliment most interior spaces. The original handles add character and charm to this piece.
The wood has been fully restored and it is in overall excellent refurbished condition. The original handles have been cleaned and the locks are functional. Very few marks are visible as an indication of its previous life. The inner lining of one drawer has age-related wear consistent with it's vintage condition.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
