A truly spectacular British manufactured G-Plan, 'E Gomme' sideboard from their "Tola" range. Produced in High Wycombe during the 1960s, using first class materials and a design influenced by the Scandinavian style.
This G-Plan sideboard, in original, Tola wood (West African Hardwood Veneer) finish, features brass handles and brass capped tapered ebonized legs.
Flanked by two generous side cupboards with bi-fold pull out doors and internal shelving. Ample storage in the flanked cabinets and three central drawers, the top one having cutlery dividers and lined.
This piece was refreshed preserving its patina, and in overall great condition. A repair has been made to the high-quality tola wood veneer on one panel of the left bi-fold door, addressing age-related wear & prior damage. This restoration is in keeping with the piece’s natural aging process and does not diminish its overall desirability. Lovingly cared for with age-related wear.

Note/Disclaimer:
Our images form part of the item's description. Although all efforts have been made to refurbish our furniture to best represent its original state, it must be noted that most of the items we source date from the 1950s to the late 1970s. For this reason, although restored, signs of their vintage condition and age might still be visible. We will typically point out any visible/notable concerns. Take note of all photos or view the item in-store prior to purchasing.
As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
