A gorgeous vintage record/vinyl storage cabinet. Great design with the contrasting wood tones visible on both the front and the sides of the cabinet. High standard of manufacturing. Perfect for a record/vinyl collector that wants to combine beauty with practicality.
This must have been originally fitted with a radio /vinyl player. Modifications have been done to enable this cabinet to be used as either record storage or drinks cabinet. The cabinet has subsequently been stripped of it's old varnish, and solid wood and veneered finish repairs were done.
The top storage features two removable shelves. More records can fit into that space once the shelving has been removed (see photos) or used for drinks storage.
The bottom storage consists of vertical open storage that fits records in their sleeves, 33, index numbered dividers for “single/7"/10” records (this section can be removed to allow for more open storage, but it is a beautiful authentic feature, however, this small section does not fit 12" record).
The wood has been fully restored and the item is in excellent restored vintage condition.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition, and thickness of the veneer itself.
