A beautifully restored dining set blending warm timber tones with sleek steel structure. The set includes a table and four matching chairs, each featuring slatted backrests and seats paired with crisp black steel frames and solid brass capped feet. These chairs are immensely sturdy and will last another lifetime.
The design is subtly reminiscent of DS Vorster, particularly in the splayed leg stance and the elegant brass-capped feet, a hallmark detail that adds both stability and understated mid-century flair.
Every solid wood slat on the chairs has been individually removed, sanded, refurbished, and sealed, ensuring long-lasting durability and a fresh, even finish throughout. The table is fitted with "drop-down leaves" on both sides, allowing it to compact neatly when not in use. A smart, space-saving solution ideal for smaller homes.
The tabletop has been restored as thoroughly as possible; the edges had previously suffered water damage, which has been repaired to the best achievable standard and thoroughly sealed to prevent future issues. Some of these signs of earlier wear remain on the edges and are visible at certain angles, consistent with the set’s vintage nature.

Fully restored, and the chairs are in excellent condition. Overall, the table looks great, but note the previous wear remain here and there.
