A retro queen size headboard with 2 pedestals. The pedestals are free-standing and typical of the period in shape and two toned with wood and painted parts. The wood has been fully restored, sealed and the old paint stripped and re-painted in off-white.
A stunning addition to any bedroom with enough useable space on/inside the pedestals and inside the headboard behind the upholstered 2 doors, for the entire width of the bed. The upholstery on the headboard is redone in a charcoal/mix from Hertex fabrics. New glass cut/fitted for the two pedestals.

As with mostly all mid-century pieces it is a good combination of solid wood & a high quality wood veneer. Quality old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
