A 60's made, DS Vorster mahogany two-part headboard to fit a queen-size bed with two-sectioned, slightly adjustable upholstered headrests - notice the photos from the back angle you will note a section of the wood tilts forward or back allowing the adjustment.
The attached, wider-in-size pedestals have a drawer each and an open storage space on each pedestal that provides fantastic storage.
The wood has been fully restored (the headboard was in its original dark-stained color), and the headrests have been newly upholstered in dark charcoal Hertex fabric.
DS Vorster was renowned for making excellent furniture with clean, straight lines. The original brass handles are still intact. The headboard consists of two sections that join together at the back.

Note/Disclaimer:
Our images form part of the item/s description. Although all efforts have been made to refurbish our furniture to represent its original state best, it must be noted that most of the items we source date from the 1950s to the late 1970s. For this reason and although restored, signs of their vintage condition & age might still be visible. We will typically point out any visible/notable concerns. Take note of all photos or view the item in-store prior to purchasing.
As with most Mid-Century pieces and a hallmark of the era, it is a combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. Veneer has a rich history in furniture design, is admired for its craftsmanship, durability, and aesthetic appeal and is a long and honorable tradition. The quality of the veneer's artistry was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
