The price is for the pair
A striking pair of 'Wassily' chairs, originally designed by Marcel Breuer in the 1920s. These iconic pieces remain as sought-after today as they were upon their ground-breaking debut, embodying the essence of Bauhaus modernism.
Renowned for their pioneering use of tubular steel, the 'Wassily' chairs revolutionized furniture design, seamlessly blending industrial materials with refined aesthetics. Their clean lines and geometric form create a bold yet minimalist statement, making them a timeless addition to any interior.
This particular pair of chairs is in very good vintage condition, exhibiting minor signs of wear commensurable with age and use, characteristic of authentic vintage pieces. Unlike contemporary reproductions, these are vintage replicas, making them more distinctive and collectible.
Many Wassily chairs were crafted with a robust, thick leather often informally referred to as 'cardboard leather,' valued for its rigidity and distinct aged patina over time.
These Wassily chairs will bring sophistication and architectural elegance to any space. The chairs are in overall great condition, showing very minor marks consistent with age and use.
