A beautiful Mid-Century Oak framed occasional armchair made by Strongbow furniture during the 60's. A period piece with charming curved arms and seat and a sturdy frame. The perfect addition to any space and interior style and will certainly attract attention.
The Oak frame was fully restored and sealed and the chair was re-upholstered with new foam in a velvety leaf patterned Hertex fabric. The item is in excellent condition.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
