A stunning Mid-Century Greaves & Thomas sideboard/server. Greaves & Thomas was a London-based company with a history dating back to the early 1900's until 1967. They hired trained designers during the Mid-Century period to create contemporary furniture with Danish influences.
Ample storage is provided in three drawers behind one door, two shelved spaces behind the drop-down centered doors, forming a good drinks section, and shelved storage behind the other door. This cabinet style will work perfectly with any design style and space.
The wood has been restored and sealed and the item is in good restored condition.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
