A stunning dream unit for its versatility and ample display space. Manufactured by Anglo-Dutch Furniture/ designed by George Nelson. Anglo-Dutch mid-century furniture is a product of a dynamic period in design history, where different cultural influences converged to create a distinctive style that still resonates with many today.
Functional is the operative word. Various cabinet storage "boxes" are available to use as storage such as the drop-front cabinet makes for great drinks storage.

Note that the top of each aluminum/ gold anodized structural support can be secured to the ceiling and is slightly adjustable in terms of length. An alternative solution is, once the unit is in place, to secure the back of the wooden boxes (two should be sufficient) to your wall should the ceiling option not be optimal.
This unit has been fully refurbished and in great restored condition. The shelves sit on elbow-style brackets and the wooden boxes use hardware to connect to the support legs. One of the ceiling "rubbers" was replaced with something suitable as these cannot be found any longer.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
