A sleek, beautiful Kiaat headboard with attached pedestals (to fit a queen-size mattress), manufactured locally during the '60s. The attached pedestals have one drawer each with minimalist brass handles and an open shelve for storage.
Both the headboard and pedestals were fully refurbished and are in good refurbished order with some age-related wear consistent with it's vintage condition.
Please note the height of the headboard since modern base sets might be high in comparison.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
