This Mid-Century two-door cabinet is attributed to the renowned Swedish maker, Nordiska Kompaniet with the maker's mark intact on the inside of the cabinet door.
Nordiska Kompaniet is internationally celebrated for its exceptional craftsmanship and quality.
Designed primarily as a drinks cabinet, it remains highly practical and stylish for contemporary use. Inside, the cabinet features 12 “felt-lined” bottle spaces, providing a secure and elegant storage solution for your finest beverages. The inner top shelf is perfect for additional barware, such as tot or whiskey glasses, ensuring everything you need is within easy reach.
The cabinet also includes a mirrored pull-out tray, which serves as a convenient and stylish serving / pouring area, enhancing the functionality of this piece during gatherings and events.
Additionally, the inside back of the cabinet is mirrored, adding a touch of sophistication and depth to its design. A single drawer offers more additional storage space for various bar accessories or other items, making this cabinet not only beautiful but also incredibly practical.
The wood has been carefully restored, with necessary repairs meticulously carried out. To preserve its natural beauty and ensure longevity, the cabinet has been refinished with a non-yellowing sealant, maintaining its elegant appearance for years to come. Kindly note that the mirrors have visible age-consistent imperfections.
Two handles on the inner pull-out mirrored serving tray replaced with authentic art deco handles. The piece carries value in its originality with a few marks & small imperfections here and there in line with its vintage condition & age.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness. The quality of the veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
