A stunning and very functional Walnut Dressing Table with a Stool. Note the center section that slides forward to reveal additional, deep storage. It will be great as a hidden compartment too. This piece was in all probability manufactured by Torrente Furniture.
The 6 drawers have ample storage space. The surface top is large and great to place cosmetic and jewelry items. The middle part of the surface top can be pulled to reveal a small compartment space that can be used to place hair tools such as a hairdryer or straightener.
The wood has been fully restored and resealed and the stool re-upholstered in a good quality Hertex Fabric with new foam and new webbing.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness. The quality of the veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
