A retro cheval type dressing table with a full length tilting mirror. The two toned wood and painted parts were typical of the period. The wood has been fully refurbished, the previous paint stripped off and repainted in off-white. The original black glass top is still intact with a few surface scratches. A space saving option for the bedroom that is practical but quirky. Unique once off piece!

As with mostly all mid-century pieces it is a good combination of solid wood & a high quality wood veneer. Quality old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
