A stunning Scandinavian design, Teak sideboard made in Germany circa 1960s. This tall buffet is an attractive piece depicting true mid-century design and style. The interior and the inner shelves reveal a contrasting wood finished in oak. Notice the beautifully tapered legs. It is an amazing piece of furniture hardly ever available or found in South Africa.

This sideboard consists of:
-A hinged drop-front door that will work great as a serving area,
-Four Sliding doors with the top tier shelved (behind the top sliders). The bottom tier behind the two sliding doors reveals good additional storage.
-Five beautiful drawers
The wood has been fully restored and sealed and it is in overall great condition. Small imperfections here and there that are consistent with its vintage age and use. Minor veneer age-related wear in some places, hardly noticeable as all restored and touched up.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
