Notice the beautiful table legs adding a nostalgic vintage touch making this set a great combination of Vintage and Mid-Century. Reminiscent of the iconic designs of Greaves & Thomas furniture. The ladderback chairs provide a clean and sophisticated look typical of the Mid-Century Modern era. The curved backrests are designed to offer comfort, gently cradling the back, for long dinners and gatherings. Note that we decided to add two additional chairs, not identical, but a good match to make this an 8-seater dining set.
The oval and extendable dining table is both stylish and versatile, perfect for intimate dinners. It easily extends for larger gatherings with the addition of a middle leaf. The extendable leaf is cleverly tucked away within the table, making it convenient to extend the table when needed. This thoughtful design ensures that the table remains sleek and uncluttered when not extended.
This dining set embodies the essence of Mid-Century Modern design & Vintage with its clean lines and functional form. The cohesive look of the chairs and table creates a harmonious dining environment that is both stylish and inviting.
The wood on the table and the 8 chairs had a full restoration done, and repairs were done on the legs and joints, etc. The set is in great vintage & restored condition, with a few marks here and there indicating its vintage age and consistent with use. Note the photos for one of a slightly darker mark and a light scratch that could not be removed.
The seats have been re-upholstered in a linen-colored textured fabric.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness. The quality of the veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
