A gorgeous Mid-Century dining table that is extendable by Nathan Furniture, circa 1970. The table has the butterfly extending mechanism; with its extension leaf in the center that can easily be folded to 'close' the table. The table has an oval shape and wood grain with a banded feature around the edge of the table. Note the sturdy retro legs.
Extending the table is done by simply pulling out the butterfly mechanism which is stored in the middle of the table. When it is extended it can sit 6-8 people.
We have done our best ability to refurbish the top, however, the watermark repairs are traceable and it is in functional condition.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
