A Mid-Century dining set consisting of six dining chairs and a dining table. The chairs have vertical slats in the back with a curved back to ensure comfort. Upholstery has been done in a Houndstooth fabric complimenting the set well.
The wood on both the table and the six chairs had full restoration done , repairs done on the legs and joints etc. The set is in great vintage & restored condition. The table had some extensive work done, the result overall great, but a minor repair mark here and there slightly visible.
The chairs are very reminiscent of Greaves & Thomas and the Afromosia wood grain beautiful.
Chairs work out to around R1850 per chair.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
