An elegant, round Greaves & Tomas teak extendable table. Crafted by the renowned London-based company that was active from the early 1900s until 1967. Known for its contemporary designs with Danish influences, this piece exemplifies Mid-Century craftsmanship.
The round and extendable oval dining table is both stylish and versatile, perfect for intimate dinners. It easily extends for larger gatherings with the addition of a middle leaf. The extendable leaf is cleverly tucked away within the table, making it convenient to extend the table when needed. This thoughtful design ensures that the table remains sleek and uncluttered when not extended.
A beautifully designed central leg base adds a nostalgic vintage touch, making this table a great combination of Vintage and Mid-Century. The round dining table seats six and can be extended to an oval shape for 8 or more guests.
Note: While the table is very stable in its unextended form, there is slight movement in the tabletop when the extension leaves are used, resulting in reduced stability. The price reflects this.
The wood on the table had a full restoration done, and is in overall good vintage & restored condition, with a few marks here and there indicating its vintage age and use.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
