A refined and beautifully crafted server designed by DS Vorster, showcasing the rich tones and distinctive grain of the sapele mahogany wood. This mid-century piece features clean, elegant lines and gently tapered legs, reflecting Vorster's modernist approach to form and function.
A gracefully curved cross-stretcher adds design interest, giving the piece presence without overpowering a space. Perfect as a sideboard, console, or statement piece in any modern or eclectic interior.
The wood has been carefully restored and resealed, enhancing its natural warmth and depth while preserving its original character. The server includes four spacious drawers, now updated with striking new bold brass-tone and matte black handles that add a contemporary edge and contrast beautifully with the mahogany finish.
In excellent restored condition, ready to bring timeless sophistication to your home.

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the veneer's artistry, condition, and thickness the quality of the old veneer was long-lasting; for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished.
