This unique writing bureau was originally designed as a Secretary Desk, by A.B. Nordiska Kompaniet, originating from the renowned Swedish department store NK, established in 1902. It combines functional utility with historical significance, reflecting the craftsmanship and style associated with A.B. Nordiska Kompaniet. Characterized by the classic foldable writing surface, it features a handy shelf and three drawers for storage.
The bureau does not have a maker's mark but exudes the craftsmanship of Nordiska Kompaniet and labels often get lost over the years. A steady leg base for the storage compartments completes the design. This writing bureau comes with a newly cut key and the wood has been fully restored and sealed. Please note that the bureau suffered some previous damage, but was restored to the best possible state with some slight imperfections still visible.
