A great Mid-Century Walnut bureau/writing desk from the 1970s in the style of Nathan Furniture.
This bureau does not take up a lot of space and because of its versatility will always be a brilliant buy. This is a desk/ writing bureau that features a lockable drop flap with magnetic support and pigeon hole storage inside. Additional storage space behind 2 doors at the bottom, big enough for lever arch files. Also featuring two shelves for storage, books, or display and a deep shelf underneath the desk area.
The wood has been restored and sealed and the cabinet is in excellent vintage condition.

As with mostly all Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood AND a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
