A stunning vintage Oak desk made by Cooke's Finsbury Ltd that produced British office furniture since the late 1800s. The top of the desk has ample working space and has 3 drawers that provide sufficient storage. It also has a pull-out tray one can use to support a cup of coffee while working or additional space for stationary.
Perfect for the office or semi-permanent home office with sufficient legroom on the opposite side for another person to work.
The wood has been restored and sealed and the desk is in good vintage condition. Few marks and repairs are visible consistent with it's vintage age and all related.

As with mostly all Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
