An elegant Mid-Century dressing table produced locally during the '60s probably by Duros or Novocraft. Good storage is provided in the three angled drawers and shaped to pull open from the bottom of the drawer. Note the repeating triangular design and angles in every aspect including the legs and mirror. A true beauty!

The wood has been restored and refurbished. We had to stain the outer encased plywood (very strong) as after stripping it was almost a maple wood color and did not match the solid wood edge and legs that are in Mahogany. Note the mirror does have a brown age mark / internal glass chip on the top right corner, but in overall good condition.

138cm L X 44cm D X 164cm H

As with most Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
