Available separately.
A wonderfully sculptural duo of vintage five finger swung glass vases, available in two vibrant colours: Cobalt Blue and Emerald Green.
Dating to the Mid-Century era, each vase features a tall, slender form rising from a weighted, fluted base into an irregular fingered opening. The elongated points create the distinctive flame like silhouette associated with this style of art glass.
Swung glass became particularly popular during the 1960s and 1970s. Its characteristic free form shapes were created while the glass was still hot and workable, with the vessel stretched and swung to draw the neck upwards and form the dramatic organic fingers at the rim. This process gives each vase its own individual, fluid character.
The Cobalt Blue vase has a rich, intense colour that shifts from brilliant electric blue to deeper tones through the thicker sections of glass, while the Emerald Green vase offers a softer translucent green with beautifully varied depth through its sculpted form.
Great decorative pieces displayed individually, grouped with other vintage art glass, or used as slender flower vases.
Available separately in blue or green. Business card shown for scale.

Note/Disclaimer:
Our images form part of the item description. While we make every effort to restore our furniture to its original state, most pieces date from the 1950s to the late 1970s. As a result, and despite restoration, signs of their vintage nature and previous life may still be visible. Light traces of restoration may remain visible, consistent with authentic vintage furniture. In some cases, minor adjustments may also have been made during the restoration process to ensure the piece remains functional and usable. We will point out any notable aspects where possible. We encourage in-store viewing or careful review of photographs before purchase.
Items are wrapped and prepared for transport by us (not the courier) to ensure safe handling. Once items leave our premises, they are no longer insured. We recommend arranging goods-in-transit insurance through your own short-term insurer.
Due to the fragility of glass, we do not recommend shipping such items outside Gauteng. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for more information: https://retrend.co.za/policies/shipping-policy
