This medium-sized sideboard by McNamee is a beautifully balanced example of South African craftsmanship, combining clean modern lines with warm materiality. The upper section features three drawers fitted with their detailed and original circular drawer handles, a subtle graphic detail that adds rhythm and authenticity to the façade. Below, black smoky perspex-style sliding doors introduce a darker contrast, offering a refined semi-opaque finish that gently conceals the interior while still allowing light to move through the piece. The sliding doors are finished with solid wood pulls, shaped simply and confidently to sit comfortably in the hand.
Inside, the generous space makes this sideboard highly versatile. It works equally well as a drinks cabinet, media unit, or refined storage piece in a dining or living space.
