'L'Inconnue de la Seine' is a delicate porcelain death mask of a young woman who drowned in the River Seine in Paris in the late 19th century. The mask captures her serene and tranquil expression, with gently closed eyes and a slight, enigmatic smile. Renowned for its beauty and mystery, the mask has inspired numerous artists and writers and is also the model for the Resusci Anne CPR training mannequin. A replica of the original marked with a FX 20, the only difference is the unique mark on the back of the mask.
