A beautifully crafted duo of solid kiaat tables by DS Vorster & Co, one of South Africa’s most celebrated mid-century furniture manufacturers. Designed with their signature solid Kiaat, slatted top and cylindrical cross-beam construction, these pieces embody the warm, honest craftsmanship that defined Vorster’s work from the 1960s onward.
The coffee table is wonderfully versatile — its sturdy, elongated form allows it to function not only as a classic coffee table but also as a bench for additional seating, making it ideal for living rooms, lounges, patios, or adaptable modern spaces. The side table echoes the same sculptural rhythm in a more compact scale, perfect as an occasional table, lamp table, or companion piece.
Both tables have been fully restored, with every surface carefully stripped, sanded, and sealed to reveal the natural depth and grain of the kiaat. The result is a clean, refined finish that honours the original design while ensuring durability for decades to come.

All items are carefully wrapped and prepared for transport by us (not the courier) to ensure safe handling. Once items leave our premises, we cannot take responsibility for their treatment by third-party transporters. We strongly recommend arranging goods-in-transit insurance for comprehensive protection.
Due to the fragility of glass, we do not recommend shipping glass items outside of Gauteng.
