A unique Mid-Century Sapele Mahogany dressing table with a wide wooden frame mirror and steel/chrome legs. Two drawer fronts were updated with black paint to accentuate the design. Ample storage is provided in two drawers and two small cabinets with stunning design aesthetics. A sleek stylish unit with a similar styled dresser stool that has been re-upholstered in Hertex fabrics and new foam added. This gorgeous piece will adorn any bedroom style.
The wood has been restored and the item is in good vintage condition. The dresser tends to have a very slight dip towards the center, however, this has no bearing on the stability or future stability of this piece. It will likely not dip any further. Please do note that the mirror does show signs of aging (not easy to photograph, but it is not 100% clear, although no major cracks, chips, etc). Despite this, it is a great and very unique piece. Available to view prior to purchase.
A similar style queen size headboard is available here

As with mostly all Mid-Century pieces, it is a good combination of solid wood and a high-quality wood veneer. The quality, old veneer was long-lasting and for this reason, it can be retouched or sanded and refinished. The history of veneer on furniture is a long and honorable tradition, and it depends on the workmanship, condition and thickness of the veneer itself.
