Two Syphons, Available Separately

A classic soda syphon made in Czechoslovakia, featuring a clear glass bottle encased in a distinctive woven metal mesh sleeve. The crisscrossed protective casing gives the piece wonderful texture and an industrial quality, while allowing the glass bottle and its red detailing to remain visible beneath.

The original metal dispensing mechanism is still in place, complete with its black handle, instruction label and small retaining chain. Designed for carbonating and dispensing soda water, these syphons were once a familiar feature of home bars, cafés and restaurants.

Today, it makes a characterful piece of vintage barware, particularly appealing displayed in a home bar, drinks cabinet or alongside a collection of colourful soda syphons.

Presented in its as is, cleaned format, retaining the patina, surface wear and signs of age that give the piece its authentic character. Sold as a decorative collectible and has not been tested for use under pressure.

Note/Disclaimer:

Our images form part of the item description. While we make every effort to restore our furniture to its original state, most pieces date from the 1950s to the late 1970s. As a result, and despite restoration, signs of their vintage nature and previous life may still be visible. Light traces of restoration may remain visible, consistent with authentic vintage furniture. In some cases, minor adjustments may also have been made during the restoration process to ensure the piece remains functional and usable. We will point out any notable aspects where possible. We encourage in-store viewing or careful review of photographs before purchase.

Items are wrapped and prepared for transport by us (not the courier) to ensure safe handling. Once items leave our premises, they are no longer insured. We recommend arranging goods-in-transit insurance through your own short-term insurer.

Due to the fragility of glass, we do not recommend shipping such items outside Gauteng. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for more information: https://retrend.co.za/policies/shipping-policy
