The standout feature is the expansive headboard spanning over three metres, integrating a pair of generous bedside pedestals seamlessly into the design. Each pedestal offers two drawers fitted with elegant sculpted timber pulls, alongside an open shelf compartment ideal for books, décor, or everyday essentials. The result is a cohesive and highly practical arrangement that maximises both storage and bedside surface space.
Particularly noteworthy are the beautifully executed finger-jointed corners visible throughout the suite, a detail that speaks to the quality of craftsmanship and attention to construction.

*Note only: An added advantage of this design is that the pedestals can be used separately from the headboard (by loosening just the screws at the back). Although they would no longer sit within the original frame as pictured (of the headboard section), this would create enough space to accommodate a king-size base and mattress. The existing queen-size base could then be used in another room, if preferred.
*Should the "headboard" section be too low for modern, higher mattresses (though this one comes with a base), it can be mounted to the wall at the correct height with suitable brackets (if need be), to create a bit more height.
Condition:
The timber has been carefully restored and presents beautifully, highlighting the warmth and character of the walnut grain. Subtle signs of age and previous use remain. The right-hand pedestal retains some historic wear marks to the top surface that could not be removed without compromising the timber. These blend naturally into the overall appearance of the piece and are complemented by similar tonal variations present in the lower sections of the pedestals, which form part of the timber's original character.
Additionally, on the mattress board, one corner of the wood-coated chipboard shows damage, which does not affect the structural integrity or performance of the bed frame and will not be visible once the mattress is in place.
