This classic pair of dining chairs by DS Vorster & Co. is a true showstopper, blending timeless craftsmanship with contemporary appeal. Crafted from rich Sapele Mahogany, this pair of chairs embodies the clean lines and sophisticated aesthetic that made DS Vorster a celebrated South African furniture manufacturer.
The chairs have a refined silhouette, offering a stylish and comfortable seating experience. Their lighter frame lends an air of delicacy, and while beautifully designed, may not be suited to those preferring a more robust construction. Each has been reupholstered in a sophisticated, textured Hertex fabric, adding a contemporary finish to their timeless form.
Note: A superb dining room set by John Tabraham for Kallenbach is paired here and work very well with these two chairs. They have been upholstered in the same fabric, so it will seamlessly integrate with the set. The dining room set has since sold.
DS Vorster and Tabraham pieces often complement each other, as they frequently drew from similar design influences and shared stylistic elements
