Rather than simply restoring it, we set out to transform it into something fresh, functional, and full of personality, with the versatility to serve several purposes around the home.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe retained and refinished the solid pine top, bringing warmth and natural character to the design. The combination of lighter timbers creates a relaxed, contemporary look, while the original wooden handles have been finished in black for a more modern contrast.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOne of our favourite additions is the \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003etextured adhesive fibre paper applied to the back of the cabinet\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. Up close, it has an almost authentic fabric feel, while from a distance, its fine woven texture resembles natural rattan. Framed by new timber trim, this detail completely transforms the appearance of the back, making the cabinet equally attractive from every angle.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe also fitted \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003enew castor wheels\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, allowing the cabinet to move easily between spaces. \u003cstrong\u003eThis opens up a whole new range of possibilities.
