Rather than overpowering the chair, the slender oak and elm timber framework is its defining feature, with the curved crest rail and gently flared arms giving it character from every angle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor the upholstery, we deliberately kept the treatment simple so that the spindle work remains visible. A newly upholstered, generously cushioned seat in a restrained green foliage textured Hertex fabric is paired with a loose back scatter cushion in a contrasting warm mustard yellow, also from Hertex. Dark piping around the scatter cushion ties the two fabrics together and gives the upholstery a crisp finishing detail.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA wonderful combination of sculptural timber work, comfort and colour, this is a chair that deserves to be seen from all sides.
