Designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli in the late 1960s to 1970s, the DSC108 is an enduring icon of Italian modernism. This particular armless swivel office chair has been thoughtfully reupholstered in a classic, yet restrained, black and light stone Home Fabrics, which adds a contemporary contrast while respecting the chair’s original design language.
The frame, crafted from aluminium and steel, and castor wheels, remains true to Piretti’s vision of refined functionality, allowing the chair to be easily moved around any office space. The chair is height-adjustable.
The maker’s mark is no longer visible, but our research affirms its origin as Castelli. “Super Patent Hostafar 5.0-3” written on the base 'collar', is consistent with the base and height-adjustment mechanism found on original Giancarlo Piretti designs, as a component supplier used in original Castelli production.

Condition:
Good vintage condition. Frame and structure are sound; original castor wheels show some wear. A Fix was done on one of the chairs to ensure it is able to be height-adjustable—newly reupholstered seat and backrest in premium fabrics.
