Beautiful art glass bowl designed by Paul Kedelv as part of the Coquille series for the Swedish glass makers Flygsfors. The design is inspired by sea shells and their freeform, classic 1950s - 60s style. This eye-catcher comes to life as sunlight falls on it, a must-have for any glass connoisseur! The base is signed with the maker's mark. Cobalt Blue on the outer, clear rim with white-opal line & pink inside when viewed from the top. A showstopper bowl.
Excellent vintage condition with minor movement marks on the bottom base, consistent with its age.
Paul Kedelv (1917-90) was a Swedish glass designer, best known for the Coquille range of freeform glass designs he produced at Flygsfors during the 1950s-60s when he was their artistic director. These glass designs have come to typify the style of the mid-century period.
